How this site handles your information
Privacy
This site collects as little as it can. This page says what it collects, why, and how to have it removed.
Who we are
DinoDawn Expedition is a non-commercial scientific expedition working in the Algarve, Portugal. It is a team of scientists and volunteers, not a company. For anything on this page, write to info@dinodawn.org.
Analytics and cookies
No analytics cookies are set when you arrive. Until you make a choice, Google receives only basic signals without cookies, so overall visit counts stay accurate. Full Google Analytics, which records which pages are read, the type of device and an approximate location, is switched on only if you choose Accept on the cookie notice. You can change your choice at any time from the cookie settings at the bottom of every page.
If your browser sends a Do Not Track or Global Privacy Control signal, the site treats it as your answer. Analytics cookies stay off and the cookie notice is not shown.
Your cookie choice and your choice to pause background motion are remembered in your own browser. The site sets no advertising cookies.
Server records
Like every website, the company that hosts this site keeps short-term technical records of visits, such as the time, the page requested and the IP address, to keep the site secure and working.
Who sees your information
We do not sell or trade your information. It is handled only by the expedition team and by the services that run the site: the hosting company, our email provider and, if you accept analytics, Google.
The Support page shows a fundraising widget from GoFundMe. Gifts are made on GoFundMe under its own privacy policy, and the widget may set GoFundMe cookies.
Your rights
You can ask to see the information we hold about you, to have it corrected or to have it deleted. Write to info@dinodawn.org. If you are in the European Union you also have the right to complain to your data protection authority. In Portugal this is the Comissão Nacional de Proteção de Dados (CNPD).
